Erica Botkin, MFA
Co-Owner, Design Consultant
Erica is a fine artist with a background in education, cultural research, and gallery practices. She brings an unconventional approach to our projects through her seemingly boundless energy, rich cultural experiences, and critical eye. Erica is a Humboldt County local, having attended Eureka High School before earning degrees from College of the Redwoods and Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University). She then received her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
Through her international and domestic adventures, Erica has mastered having fun while narrating eloquent reasoning. As a former college professor, Erica excels at communication, planning, and follow through. She balances her exuberance with careful, considered thought and her artworks illustrate the depth of her multifaceted nature.
When she’s not fulfilling her insatiable curiosity about how people live their daily lives, exploring the rich impact of natural, cultural, and geographical connections, and considering how to improve peoples’ lived experiences, she’s spending time with her (equally eccentric) cat, lifting weights, surfing, or fussing over her extensive and carefully curated collection of plants, rocks, and sand dollars.
